Our Animal Staff
We are so lucky to have animals in our lives that seem as dedicated to rescue as we are. None of the animals in this section are available for adoption. They are our own pets who help us rehabilitate our foster animals.
Orrin
Orrin has a calm demeanor and a friendly attitude. He shows our foster dogs how to be excellent canine companions. He teaches them to play with toys and respond to commands. Because he leads by example, our foster dogs quickly learn to be quiet and to be gentle.
Orrin is also great at acclimating our foster cats to the presence of a dog. In fact, he likes to give them kisses. Don't worry - they usually don't mind after they get used to it!
Orrin has a blog! Check out Orrin's Observations.

Adina
Adina is a socialite; she helps the dogs in our care become accustomed to kitties. This stripey, full-figured diva also makes new cats feel right at home. Adina's one flaw is that she is an insatiable gourmand. We try to keep the foster kitties from being corrupted - Adina can open the refrigerator and she has mastered the secrets of tupperware.
Eva
Eva is a classic example of a "foster failure". When this starving little pitbull arrived we were determined to find her the perfect home. We did. With us!
Eva had a litter or two before coming into our care. Because of her puppy experience, she is our go-to girl when we need a maternal presence for any of our puppies - even if they are kittens.
Eva nurtures all of our babies with a mother's blind love. So, if you adopt a kitten that acts like a dog, sorry?
(See more of Eva in our Happy Tails.)

Bowser
How does someone so tiny play such an important role?
Here's how. Bowser is a prickly little dude who is able to teach other foster-animals that some things are just not cool.
He will let another animal know if they are in his personal space. He can even train dogs and cats how to be nice to little pets.
Exotic pets aren't for everyone but we sure are happy to have Bowser training all of our fosters how to treat a tiny furry.
