Nadine
Nadine is the third of the COVID-19 litter. We managed to get them all! Her dilute calico colouring is just gorgeous. She can be a little timid; all of the babies were feral until 5 weeks old, but with a patient family she'll bloom like the wild rose she is.
Nadine will be spayed, health checked and vaccinated before she is ready to go but, with limited veterinary services available right now, we don't know when that will be. But if you love her you can apply and get pre-approved to take her home when she's ready!

Stu
Stu is one of the plague litter caught during the COVID-19 crisis. He's more timid than his sisters and will need a patient home to love him. He is a darling and he LOVES chicken! He'll definitely come out for cuddles if you give him some. That's how we got him in the trap!

Frannie
Frannie is one of our plague kittens. She was caught during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. Frannie is a bold little spitfire who instigates games for her mother and siblings. She'd do great in a home with other animals although she has had limited exposure to dogs. Frannie will be up to date on all health care before being available for adoption including vaccines, disease testing, deworming and getting spayed. Because veterinary care services are currently limited it may be a few weeks but you can apply today!

Anton
Anton is a male Flemish Giant mixed rabbit. He is approximately 3 years old and will be available for adoption after he is neutered. Anton is a very playful bunny and likes to bink around his room. He hasn't quite figured out what his litter box is for yet but we keep encouraging him to use it. Anton loves his greens and we are encouraging him to diversify his tastes with other fruits and veggies. He will eat his pellet but isn't keen on hay. Anton was initially rescued by a nice family from becoming a meat rabbit when he was a baby.
Anton's adoption fee is $30 and he will come with his current cage and whatever supplies we have on hand. We would encourage his new family to upgrade his environment as we really prefer rabbits not to be on the wire bottomed style that he's been in his whole life.

Judy Hopps
Judy Hopps was found wandering in Chesterfield Township where a kind police officer rescued her from being eaten by a hawk or hit by a car! She appears to be a mini-rex and she was definitely someone's pet at one time. She is very calm and likes petting. She'll even allow herself to be held but she also likes binking around and exploring her environment.
Judy needs to be an inside bunny only. She will be spayed before leaving the rescue. She will come with some supplies but not the large cage she is currently using. Judy's adoption fee is $30.

Sophie
Sophie came to our rescue in February. Her former owner no longer had time for her. She is about 1.5 to 2 years old and has been vet checked and spayed.
She is a friendly girl who doesn't curl up and puff much but she would far rather run around and explore than be held. She needs a proper wheel and someone who will make a safe area in their home for her to play. She likes to push around cat toys and doesn't mind being bathed very much.
Sophie's adoption fee will be $50.

Banksy
Banksy was found frozen in a snowbank but he made an amazing come back! Most likely a high mix Maine Coon kitten, he found a home with one of our best rescue friends!
Michonne
Michonne, the little cognitively delayed cat that came to us in 2013 will be with us permanently. We love her even though she never really got the hang of the litter box and, being a rescue anyway, we're used to cleaning up pet messes.
Totoro
Totoro was adopted by a lovely family with several little boys and a dog. His new name is Smokey and he gets tons of love from his whole family.
Ku
Ku was adopted by a woman and her father who adore animals. We receive occasional updates and he's quite doted upon!

Poia got a great home with a mom who can be with him all day, every day! He has a cat for a companion whenever mom leaves to do social activities or marketing.
Pantera
Pantera received an amazing home with an adopter who can spend tons of time with him. His new person works in tech and, working from home, is an ideal companion.
His new person had another avian companion whom he loved very much. We really hope that Pantera can help heal the hurt of losing a loved one and become a valued friend in his own right.
We look forward to many updates over the years as Pantera settles in to his final home after a long road of being uprooted often.

We never were able to hand tame these beautiful girls and considered their potential outcome less than stellar if they were not an interactive pet. They will stay here where they will be appreciated for their songs and beauty.

Ubu's new home has a great deal of bird experience. They even build custom playscapes for their birds! One of Ubu's people works mostly from home so can lavish her with attention. The new family's references were impeccable. When a high ranking member of a local humane society vouches for you it carries a lot of weight! We have already gotten some udates from the family. Ubu has settled right in. I doubt that she misses us nearly as much as we miss her.

Maisy
Maisy came to us from loving people who had to move to a place where pet hedgehogs were prohibited. We really feel for that kind of circumstance and were happy to take her.
Maisy is the friendliest little girl and we knew immeidately that she'd make a great pet. There were a few people on our approved hedgehog list that were good matches but we settled on the one with hte most hedgehog experience and a well known ability to give a hedgie everything it needs.

Conan O'Bunny has been adopted with his pal Jimmy Lapin! Their new mom is a rabbit savvy lady who met them both and loved them even though they are both shedding badly right now.

Kimba and Simba
Lucky boys! Not only did they find a home together but they also join a family with a dynamic very similar to the one at Greta's Haven.
They have an easy going dog brother, an elder cat sister and a playful young cat sister. And, of course, they have an adoring mommy and daddy.
These boys were with us for several months so adjusting to their absence will be a little difficult. But it is more than worth it to see them in an amazing forever home!

Lucky Poe got adopted by a big family! He will get all of the love that he needs and has already seemed to develop an attachment to his 12 year old girl.

Yoda has been adopted by his foster family! Although the human members of the family were rather prosaic about the potential of his leaving, Floofy the cat had other ideas!

Fraggle has hit the jack-pot! His new mom is a kitty-savvy retiree who will have plenty of time to play, snuggle and just LOVE him!
As a bonus, Fraggle even has a doggie sister in his new home. I can just imagine the havoc they will wreak on their mom's home. I hope she has insurance... LOL!

A loving mommy, a secure home and plenty of treats? What more could a hedgie want? Yes, Ziggy has gone to a brilliant home. His new Mommy is as happy to have him as he is to have her. What more could a rescue desire for their wards? I love it when a happy ending comes together!

Lucky Eugene has been adopted by the most brilliant lady! He joins a geriatric and much doted upon brother, Cool Whip, in his new home.
Eugene's mom was also the adopter of our rescue's first rat, Pinky. As it was with Pinky, Eugene's new mommy gave us an overly generous adoption donation. We vow to put it right back into helping additional animals in need.
Though we will miss Eugene, we know he won't miss us! He has entered rattie paradise!

Lucky Mirage has been adopted by a wonderful family. She now has two children to play with and one other cat to love. Her new family has a lot of cat experience and has been dedicated to the care of many special kitties over the years.

Foster Fail!!!
Eva has been adopted forever by us - her foster mom and dad. This little, red dog has stolen our hearts and fits so well in the family!
Eva has shown great potential for being a foster momma herself - she loves to groom and watch over kittens.
Although having a second permanent dog in the house may reduce our ability to take in foster-dogs, we will remain committed to our rescue efforts.

Jubilee has been adopted! We got to meet the whole family and, gosh, are they nice!!!

Trance was adopted by a wonderful young man and his family! Trance's adopter worked very hard to learn about cats and kittens. He did research and made sure that he had everything she would need before she came home. What a great adopter!

Mystique was adopted by a fun-loving boy and his family! We know she will get all the love and care that a little treasure like her deserves, not to mention all the fun and controlled mayhem that a boy can think up. Kittens love mayhem!

Luigi has gone to a wonderful new home! He has a new brother named Little Foot and, besides his new Mom, he has a Grandma, Grandpa and an Aunt to love! Luigi is the last of our "Texas Tumbleweeds" to be adopted and I know that his foster mom misses him, as well as the others. But everyone at the rescue knows that we've been so lucky to find such great adopters for the precious little hedgies entrusted to our care. Thank you adopters! Thank you Hedgehog Welfare Society for the opportunity to help out.

Toad found his wonderful new home with a loving family! He even has a beautiful little girl to play with. Toad's new family did A LOT of research to make sure that he would be the right pet for them and they would be the right family for him. We know that Toad will be very happy!

Mario has a wonderful new home! His new mom has oodles of hedgehog experience. He gets to live with a lady hedgie (no worries - he's neutered!) and he tells me she's a pretty little thing.
Since Mario is a little iffy of human contact we made sure that his new home would be able to respect his personal space while still providing a high standard of care. We are sure that prickly little Mario will be very comfortable in his new home. We are so happy for him!

Bowser's new home can appreciate his energetic nature since his new mommy likes to run, too. Bowser lives in the center of the home where he can supervise the goings on of diverse cats and dogs. He shares a room with a fish who is an excellent conversational companion, we are told. Congrats, Bowser!

Look at this svelt little lady! This queen of the darkness arrived on our doorstep one chilly Thanksgiving. She was terribly underweight but so affectionate!
After the vet treated her for a slew of internal parasites she became quite sleek and shiny. She was spayed and vaccinated and shortly thereafter found a home. She now lives with her mommy and daddy and gets visits from other kitties and even a big dog from time to time. She loves her new life and is particularly devoted to her mom.

Poor little mice! Moose and Clover came to our rescue when their person no longer had time to care for them. Luckily our exotics foster home was able to step up and take them.
Moose and Clover were adopted by a medical professional. She wanted a fuzzy friend without having to feel guilty about her long hours. Moose and Clover turned out to be a perfect match! They keep each other company while their new mom is away and are always ready to play and be cuddled when she comes home.

Our beautiful Princess Mew has found her happily ever after. Mew has a wonderful new home with a lovely mommy, wonderful daddy and three sweet human sisters. Mew's days will be full of playtime and cuddle time, just as she likes. We at the rescue are all so happy that she has found the absolute perfect home. Thank you to Mew's new family. Prince Tiger
Prince Tiger's forever home will include lots of cuddling and three female cats to snuggle with. He'll rule his new kingdom with a firm, yet gentle, paw. Prince Tiger has been given the even more regal name Bailey and his foster parents are thrilled that they will get to see him often since the adoption is within the family.
