About the kittens
The five kittens listed below came from Grayson Humane Society in Kentucky. Grayson Humane Society is an open admission shelter staffed entirely by volunteers. Although they are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, donations have declined due to the current poor economy and, more than ever before, the expenses are being covered out of the pockets of the volunteers. If you can find it in your heart (and your budget) to make a donation to them, please visit www.graysonhumane.org
The kittens came to us very well cared for but with some of those ailments wich often affect baby animals. The kittens must be cleared by the vet as being healthy enough for spay before we can have the surgery completed. For this reason, the kittens may not be able to leave the rescue for a few weeks; however, we welcome you to put in an application for adoption at the present time.

Jubilee
Jubilee is a sweet little baby who purrs loudly as soon as you walk into the room. She has been feeling a bit under the weather so we haven't seen much of her spunky side yet. We will update her profile with better pictures and a more detailed assessment of her personality when she feels well.
Dazzler
This little baby has a bit of a cold, so we don't know her personality too well yet. Right now she loves to snuggle and will crawl up in your lap as soon as you sit down. When she is feeling better we will get some better photos and tell you more about her.
Mystique
Mystique is a clever little calico with a playful spirit. Her mostly white body is bejeweled with a lovely string of orange and black spots down her back. In fact, she has the markings of good-fortune like a koi fish! Mystique is about 8 weeks old and will be spayed soon. If you'd love to experience the wild adventure of having a kitten in your home, you should put in an application!
Mirage
Has the perfect companion always seemed like a shimmering illusion forever beyond your reach? Don't worry, Mirage is the answer to your longing! This long-haired tortoiseshell girl is going to be ready to go to a loving new home soon! Mirage is a spunky little girl with tons of kitten energy. At about 8 weeks old she is still very much a baby. We will have her spayed just as soon as she puts on a little weight and then she will be able to fill your home with kittenish joy! We are beginning to accept applications now so that she can go right home when she is ready.
Trance
Trance's adoption is pending! Her perfect home is waiting patiently for her!
Trance will hypnotize you with her tranquil purr and zen personality. She loves to snuggle and will be happiest in a home where she can curl up with her human.Trance would be a great companion for someone who likes to read or watch movies. Trance is about 8 weeks old and is not yet ready to be adopted. She will be spayed before leaving the rescue. We are accepting applications on Trance so that she can go to her forever home as soon as she is ready.

Eva - 2 year old Patterdale terrier / German shepherd mix
Hi! I'm Eva!
As you'll be able to see from my photos, I really had a rough start. Now that I am healthy and whole again, I am eager to make a new start with a family that will cherish me and make my life the blessing that it is meant to be.
First, a little bit about my appearance. I am about 21 inches high at the shoulder and 40 pounds. I am very muscular. Some people think I look a little bit like a pit bull or other bully breed. Other people think I don't look like a bulldog breed at all. My foster parents have listed me as a best guess to my lineage. I have lovely red fur and one bright blue eye. My other eye is a medium shade of brown. When I am happy, I will wink at you by closing the lid of my blue eye.
I NEED a high energy person or family. Although I like to be a lap dog and am the best snuggler in the world, I also love to run, play and do activities. I'd do best in a household that loves sports, jogging, skiing, cross-training, bicycling or hiking and will include me in their activity of choice! I would also enjoy doing a dog sport like agility, flyball or freestyle obedience. This is very important! Without having a way to release my energy I will have to find my own entertainment - you might not like what I come up with!
I am crate trained and I know a few commands. My foster parents continue to work on my obediance every day. I need a home that has a strong leader who knows all about training dogs with positive reinforcement. I might prefer a single dog home, but I am able to get along well with dominant dogs. I may exhibit a few resource guarding behaviours as I am getting to know the other dog in the home, but these should go away quickly. I absolutely love playing with my foster brother dog and the dog park is one of my favourite places in the world!
I am very good with cats and I know "leave it" if I get a little too interested in kitty. I have also met a hedgehog and I was really nice to him. I should be okay with most small pets as long as I am supervised.
I am pretty good with children but, since I am so bouncey and happy, I might not be right for a home with small children.
My foster family loves me; however, they say that there is an even better home out there for me. I am looking for my perfect match - a leader and best friend under whose guidance I can thrive. Is it you?
